Monoliths is a series of images created during a time of personal stress and a fight with depression. Photography became a way of dealing with stress and trauma with the images depicting lonely and isolated landscapes and cityscapes in monochrome.
Shot mainly along the east coast of Australia with a brief foray into Tasmania the images were a means of forgetting the daily and escaping into another world.
This exhibition was part of the HeadOn Photo Festival 2020 and was shown in the digital format for the festival. This will be the first showing of the printed exhibition as part of HeadOn, and these beautiful large format prints are worth viewing in real life!
